Wild rice meatballs -- (from North Shore News)

1 28 oz tin lentil soup
1 onion finely chopped
3-4 mushrooms, finely chopped
1 c cooked wild rice
½ c dry bread crumbs
1 tin Italian tomato soup
½ soup can water
½ c dry white wine (optional)
garlic powder, thyme, season salt
pinch sage or thyme
cracked pepper

Prepare the meatballs with the first five ingredients (lentil soup, onion, mushrooms, wild rice and breadcrumbs) and seasonings (garlic powder, thyme, season salt). Brown in skillet. Combine remaining ingredients and pour over (Italian tomato soup, water, wine, sage, thyme pepper). Simmer ½ hour.
