| 1 can chick peas drained or ~ 2-3 cups cooked chick peas | ½ c tahini |
| 2-4 garlic cloves, crushed | 2 tsp olive oil |
| 4-6 tbsp lemon juice | black pepper to taste |
| Sumac | |

Place all ingredients in food processor and blend until smooth. Sprinkle "Sumac" on top. Serve with vegetables, crackers or bread.
Variation: | |
| 2-3 tsp spiced oil | 1-2 large red peppers cored and seeded cut in ¼ |
|
Heat oil, cook peppers ~5-10 minutes on medium to high until skin is slightly browned or burned - add to chick peas, garlic, tahini, lemon juice and pepper, blend in food processor. Garnish with "Sumac" |
